AN ANIMATED FILM PROJECT // WARHAMMER 40 000 // SPACE HULK

“The Space Hulk was spotted at the outskirts of the Segmentum Obscura. It was identified as a Genestealer-infested Hulk and was codenamed the ´Herald of Anguish´.

The Hulk was a unique combination of technologies. Its origins spanned over galaxies and millennia. Intact it would yield an enormous value to humanity and its Emperor. Therefore, it was decided to carry out a boarding action to secure the hulk. However, nuclear scans indicated that it was infested with thousands of Genestealers.

The honour of boarding the hulk was given to the Blood Angels Chapter. It was decided to launch a first wave of one hundred Space Marines, all clad in full Terminator armour. Their task was crude and cruel: capture the Hulk and rid it of its dreaded cargo.”

Welcome to The Herald of Anguish blogg. The Herald of Anguish is a non-profit project aiming to make a 3D-animated clip of an intense fight between a squad of Blood Angels Terminators and hordes of genestealers onboard a Space Hulk.

This project is carried out by four friends working with 3D graphic design. Our inspiration is the classic board and computer games “Space Hulk” by Games Workshop. This web site is completely unofficial and in no way endorsed by Games Workshop Limited. The project is just for fun and our tribute to the world of Warhammer 40K.

Our blogg will continuously be updated during the production of the movie.

Please feel free to post any comments.
The Premiere is planned sometime in the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, at a Youtube channel near you…

Space Hulk Corridors Recap

The modelling and texturing of the corridors, floor and room segments has been completed. They consist of different segments which will be combined into a layout inspired by the first Space Hulk mission in the classic board game – “Suicide mission”. This part of the hulk is a space ship which originally was constructed by humans. It was lost in the storms of the warp for millennia before it was rediscovered and incorporated into the Space Hulk. The corridors have an old and shabby look – marked with scratches and blood splatter from the ongoing battle between the Terminators and Genestealers.
